Chief Minister’s Athlete Coaching & Empowerment Scheme (CMACES)

Brief
The Chief Minister’s Athlete Coaching & Empowerment Scheme (CMACES) is a flagship initiative launched by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh to nurture elite sporting talent.

Objectives
- To transition from a reward-based system to a coaching-focused model that grooms athletes for national and international success
- To produce the state's first Olympians and Paralympians by providing world-class support systems
- To provide holistic development for top athletes, including specialized medical and nutritional care

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) member or a bonafide resident of the state
- Minimum 13 years and above
- Minimum participation in at least one state-level tournament or higher (National/International)
- Must hold a valid PCI (Paralympic Committee of India) Classification Certificate
