About the Scheme
Brief
The Chief Minister's Yuva Kaushal Yojana (CMYKY) is a specialized skill development scheme launched by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh (effective from 1 April 2018) to provide job-linked, high-end training to the state's youth. It focuses on enhancing employability within the private sector through vocational training within and outside the state.
Objective
To empower youth by providing high-end training through reputed vocational training providers (VTPs) both within and outside the state. This bridges the gap between education and market requirements, ensuring a minimum of 70% placement guarantee for trainees.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a permanent resident of Arunachal Pradesh
- Minimum qualification of Class 10 (Matriculation) pass
Benefits
- Stipend: Trainees receive ₹3,000 per month for training within the state. For training outside the state, the government provides ₹300 per day to cover boarding, lodging, and transportation costs
- Training Costs: The state government bears the full cost of training fees, books, and uniforms
- Placement: VTPs must ensure at least 70% job placement for successful candidates
- Additional Support: Access to a dedicated job portal for employer linkage and participation in annual Skill Melas
