About the Scheme
Brief
The Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swavalamban Yojana (DDUSY) is a flagship startup loan scheme launched by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh to empower unemployed youth by providing access to low-cost capital for entrepreneurship
Objectives
- To make unemployed youth self-reliant by providing low-cost capital to set up small and medium enterprises across agriculture, eco-tourism, and manufacturing sectors
- To empower unemployed youth in Arunachal Pradesh by providing them with low-cost capital to become self-reliant entrepreneurs
Eligibility Criteria
- Aged between 18-45 years
- Minimum educational qualification of Class XII passed or equivalent is required
- Proposed project must have a total cost of more than ₹10 lakh
- Government servants and bank defaulters are not eligible
Benefits
- Project range between Rs.10 Lakhs to Rs.50 Lakhs (excluding land/building)
- 40% front-ended investment capital subsidy
- 30-50% bank loan of the project cost
- 10% to 30% of the total project cost is self contribution
- Additional 5% annual interest subsidy on women entrepreneurs (for performing accounts)
- Preference for skilled youths with technical/diplomas (IT, Tourism, Fabrication, Mobile Repair)
- Priority for private doctors opening clinics in border CD blocks
- Covers food processing, eco-tourism (homestays), textiles (weaving) and small manufacturing
