About the Scheme
Brief
It is a flagship scheme launched by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh to promote tourism and foster the development of the hospitality industry by training local youths. It provides sponsorship and financial support to Arunachal Pradesh students to pursue specialized education in tourism and hospitality management.
Objectives
- To provide quality vocational training in tourism-related fields that meet industry standards
- To increase employment opportunities for local, unemployed youth within the tourism sector
- To support the overall growth of Arunachal Pradeshs tourism industry by ensuring a skilled workforce
- To create a pathway for youth to gain financial independence.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a bonafide resident/domicile of Arunachal Pradesh
- Specifically for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students of Arunachal Pradesh
- Educational Qualifications:
i. B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration: Class XII pass or equivalent
ii. Diploma Courses: Class X or XII pass in any stream
iii. Post Graduate Diploma: Graduate in any stream
- Merit-based (based on marks in qualifying exams) followed by an interview by the District Tourism Officer

- Sponsorship for 8 students to pursue a 3-year B.Sc. degree in Hospitality & Catering at top recognized institutions
- Sponsorship for 25 students for a 1.5-year diploma in Food Craft Institute, Nagaon, Assam
- Access to specialized, demand-driven training in Food Production, Beverage Service, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Bakery
