Arunachal Pradesh State Stipend Scheme

Brief
The Arunachal Pradesh State Stipend Scheme provides monthly financial assistance to permanent resident APST students pursuing higher, technical, or professional studies in recognized institutions to cover educational expenses.

Objectives
- To encourage Scheduled Tribe (ST) students to pursue higher education - To reduce the financial burden on students for academic expenses

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a permanent resident of Arunachal Pradesh and a Scheduled Tribe (APST)
- Must be enrolled in a regular (not distance/correspondence) higher, professional, or technical course at a recognized institution
- Must not be in full-time employment - Must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance
- Students who have failed or changed streams in the same academic level are ineligible

Benefits
- Stipend: ₹1,400 per month for 11 months
- Book Grant: ₹1,000 per annum
